When the tide is low or the sun is shining too brightly, children and mothers can spend their day on the shores under the shade of an umbrella. Mothers can get their tan done while kids use their buckets and shovels to build sandcastles. Some would even half-bury a playmate and recreate a body made of sand.

If the sea level is ideal for swimming, mothers can be confident that their children are safe. Poipu Beach Park is considered to be one of the safest in Hawaii. There is a lifeguard on duty seven days a week.

The group can even walk to the nearby Mahaulepu Beach and wait for the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seals to appear. As long as everybody stays  quiet, these mammals can be observed at a closer distance.

A glimpse of the rich underwater life would be both educating and exciting for the young. In fact, a local could serve as a guide for a fun-filled underwater adventure at the adjacent Nukumoi Point. The point is home to reef that is well-populated with angel fish, Moorish idols, black tangs, striped damsels and schools of butterfly fish.

Deep-sea fishing is a powerful bonding experience for both fathers and sons; grandfathers can tag along too. Getting aboard the fishing boat and catching fish would bring out that old feeling associated with weekends camped in lakes and fishing for local species.

At the end of a day out in the sun, Poipu vacation rentals are cozy places to retreat. The facilities all respond to a guest’s every need and the friendly hotel staff can take care of any special requests.

If you are planning to spend a few days off but want to be updated on city life as often as possible, then begin scouting for cheap Poipu vacation rentals on the Internet or inquiring at your local traveling agency. If Hawaii is too expensive for you, you may also try on of the Bahamas holiday packages.
