A short while ago, I moved to what I think is one of the best Puerto Galera resorts for working online.

Puerto Galera is a town in the Philippines and is roughly 3 hours from the capital. The resort I’m staying at is called Badladz Adventure Resort and with free WiFi and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s a great place to relax as well as get things done.

One of the main reasons I came to South East Asia is that it’s a great place to build an online business. When you’ve got a laptop and you can work anywhere, there is no place better to build a business and make money online than South East Asia.

Almost every bar and restaurant provide free WiFi so getting online is no problem. At Badladz, the Puerto Galera resort I mentioned earlier, the WiFi is fast and reliable. I’m usually working all day and I have no problem getting things done.

If you’re going to be staying at a Puerto Galera resort, it’s a good idea to get a comfortable room. Luckily, the rooms at Badladz Adventure Resort are clean and comfortable. There’s a fan in every room and air-conditioners for those steamy-hot tropical nights. When I need to chill out and relax, I can watch Cable TV on the TV in my room.

One thing that I love about this Puerto Galera resort is the food. Here I am in the Philippines (a third world country!) and I can get top-notch Mexican food. It’s probably the best Mexican I’ve had, including Quesadillas, Tortillas and delectable Wet Burritos. For people who want a more traditional experience, there is Filipino food available on the menu.

One thing that makes or breaks Puerto Galera resorts is their proximity to nightlife. If the resort is too close, then it can be too noisy and the typical crowd will be of the seedier type. If the resort is too far, there’s nothing to do in the evenings. However, Badladz is an easy 10 minute motorbike ride away from the two main towns with nightlife in the area. Badladz sits on the edge of Puerto Galera bay and it’s the only resort in the area, making it more relaxed and less crowded.

Another reason Badladz is one of the best Puerto Galera resorts to work online at is that they’ve just set up a beach resort. When you need a break, walk down to the beach and go for a swim. The water is warm and the view is beautiful. It’s the perfect way to relax and recharge your batteries.

Next time you’re looking for a place to stay and work, remember Puerto Galera and Badladz Adventure Resort.
